'Holy Krynitsy' (Holy springs) is an oasis of tranquility not far from Minsk.
Drive through the village of Kurgan, beyond which you will see a sign for a dirt road. After driving about two kilometers, you will find yourself at a barrier and an equipped parking lot. Next, walk along a boardwalk to the foot of a wooded hill, where 14 springs gush that do not flow into the Udra River.
After passing along the boardwalk, the trail goes deeper into the forest along the river. As you climb, the terrain becomes hilly, and streams form picturesque mini waterfalls. Gazebos and campfires are located along the trail, but campfires and tents are prohibited.
Locals tell a legend about a church that fell into the ground, where the holy shrines were slaughtered. Regardless of whether you believe in this legend or not, the silence and coolness of the forest create a special atmosphere conducive to contemplation. You can see linked icons on the trees.
It can be crowded on weekends, so it's better to arrive in the morning or on weekdays.
Along the way, you can see an old oak tree and a pillbox from the time of the Great Patriotic War.
"Holy Krynitsy" is a great place for those who want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and find peace in the bosom of nature.
