Radoshkovichi. St. Elijah's Church
There are many historical and architectural monuments in the town of Radoshkovichi, Molodechno district. If you want to see the panorama of the whole town in this small town, then you need to come to Ilyinskaya Mountain and climb the hill on foot. After all, the mountain is so steep that the car will not go there. And you will discover the extraordinary beauty of panamarama. And on the very hill of the mountain there is a wooden St. Elijah's Church.
Initially, the Orthodox church was not located on the mountain, but in Radoshkovichi itself in the center. But the church burned down in the first days of the war. And it was decided to build a church on Elijah Hill. The mountain was leveled manually. A log cabin of the former border outpost was brought from the old border. The altar and the porch were made of forest logs. It was assumed that this church would be temporary and the old church would be rebuilt after the war. But it turned out that the Church has been serving Orthodox believers for a long time.
The club is now located in the place where the old Intercession Church was.
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, repairs were carried out in the Ilyinsky Church and a fence was erected. In 2008, the iconostasis and the church church were restored. Church banners and other things that are necessary for worship were purchased.
The three-dimensional composition of the temple consists of three parts: the vestibule, the prayer hall and the apse. A bell tower is built over the narthex. The main volume is covered with a gable roof.
