Description

Thirty wide steps with water running down them… This is a unique and amazing water staircase. It is located 24 kilometers from Minsk. The staircase is hidden from people's eyes, which explains why so little is known about it. It is located in an almost deserted area, surrounded by fields and forests.

Amazing water staircase 24 kilometers from Minsk.

The water ladder is a hydraulic engineering structure that is part of the Vileyka-Minsk water system, created to provide Minsk with water. It consists of a tray with reinforced concrete ribs and a water well at the end.

The water flow rises to 71 meters above the water level of the Vileysky reservoir for 50 kilometers, overcoming hilly terrain. In the Vyazynka area, the terrain is changing, and the water is flowing steadily in the direction of the capital. Near Zaslavl there are three fast—flowing rivers, which are located in close proximity to each other - about 1.5 kilometers away. Their hydraulic structures impress with the variety of shapes and the number of ribs.

Although the area is swampy and not very suitable for hiking, fishermen often come here.

To visit the fast streams near Zaslavl, you need to drive along the R28 highway, then turn left to the Loshany sign and drive a little along the field, and then on foot.

You can also take the train from Minsk, going in the Molodechno direction to the station Khmelevka. It will only be necessary to cross to the opposite side and walk a few dozen meters along the path.

There are beautiful natural landscapes all around. When you reach your destination, you will also see an incredibly fascinating sight - the flowing water is very fascinating. Then you can try to get to the next "staircase", which is about 1-1.5 km away.

This place can be recommended for those who like hiking and/or hiking, want to spend time alone with nature and/or have a picnic in a non-trivial place.
