Rakov. St. Anne's Church.

If you drive to Rakov from Minsk and leave the Minsk – Vilnius highway, then on the way to the historical center of the town you will drive along Minskaya Street past the ancient Catholic cemetery.

Stone gates have been built right next to the road, and a small Catholic church in honor of St. Anna. This temple is considered a cemetery chapel.

The Church of St. Anna was built in 1830 of brick. The architecture of the building is eclectic, because there are two styles here: classicism and neo-Gothic. The temple is rectangular in plan. A semicircular apse is attached to the main volume. The building is covered with a gable roof. The main facade is decorated in the form of a semicircular entrance portal, above which a triangular pediment with a small signature is built. A Gothic rose window is placed above the portal. There is a crypt in the interior under the altar.

At the same time as the church, a three-span two-tiered bell tower gate was built.

There are several chapels and many interesting tombstones in the Catholic cemetery. Many famous personalities of this region are buried here. For example, the famous composer of the 19th century Mikhail Rudolfovich Grushvitsky (1828-1904), who wrote cantatas to the works of V. Syrokomlya and to A. Mickiewicz's poem "Dzyady".
