Ruins of a watermill on the Isloch river.
On the picturesque banks of the Isloch River, within the Treskovshchyna nature reserve, there are charming ruins of a watermill, presumably built in the 19th century by the Belarusian gentry Sventorzhetsky. This place, located just half an hour's drive from Minsk along the Grodno highway (M6), is ideal for a short walk or as a stop along the way, because MKAD-2 is located nearby.
The mill, built with love to detail, is notable not only for its massive boulders, but also for its decorative finish, the remains of which can still be seen. This testifies to the skill and artistic taste of its creators. The Sventorzhetskys, despite their remoteness from their main possessions, often came here for picnics with their family, enjoying the beauty of the surrounding nature and the tranquility of this corner.
The mill stopped working in 1939 and since then it has gradually begun to turn into ruins, but this does not diminish its charm. Depending on the time of the year, this place is capable of striking with its beauty. A pond on the one hand, a river and a forest on the other, picturesque ruins against a backdrop of lush young greenery create an incredibly harmonious picture.
Here you can wander on the rocks in the middle of the river, admire the first inflorescences by the water and watch the ducks swimming peacefully in the waters of Isloch.
It is an ideal place for those who seek solitude and want to enjoy nature, history and an atmosphere of tranquility. Don't miss the opportunity to visit this amazing place and immerse yourself in its history!
