Gonchary. Church of the Intercession.

On the way from Berezovka to Lida there is a village of Gonchary, and in the center of this village there is a wooden Church of the Intercession.

The church was built in the old cemetery in 1774. At first, the building belonged to the Uniates, since at that time, at the end of the 18th century in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, most of the village's population was Uniate. They are also called Greek Catholics. And later, in the 19th century, the church passed to Orthodox believers, when the union was abolished at the Polotsk sobor in 1839.

The building is three-nave, built in the style of Belarusian folk architecture. The central nave rises above the side aisles. At first, the church had a natural look of wood, and then it was painted. A belfry tower was built above the narthex. Consisting of three tiers – an octagon on a quad, and the dome of the onion with a forged cross completes the tower.

Above the altar part of the church there is also a small octagonal drum with an onion. The building is vertically sheathed. There are rectangular windows on the main facade and side walls.

Previously, there was a wooden bell tower near the temple, which was in two tiers - it has not been preserved to our time.

In recent years, the church has been renovated. The church has the status of an architectural monument.
