Description
On the way from Berezovka to Lida, as you pass the Neman River, there is a small village of Ogorodniki. Beyond the bridge to the right on the outskirts of the village is the local cemetery, where a Catholic chapel was built in the 18th century. The shrine was consecrated in honor of Saints Joachim and Anna. The money for the construction of the temple was given by representatives of the noble family of Sologub.
The chapel is wooden, built in the classical style using the Doric order. The building suffered from fires more than once and was almost destroyed by fire in Soviet times. It was restored in the 1990s. The chapel is in operation.

Ogorodniki. Chapel of Saints Joachim and Anna.
On the outskirts of the village of Ogorodniki, there is a stone chapel in the cemetery, which was consecrated in honor of Saints Joachim and Anna.
The chapel was built in 1763 at the expense of the Sologub family. The building was built according to the project of the Italian architect Petrunelli, who was invited by the Sologubes. Several times the wooden structure suffered from fire and was repaired in the 19th century by Lensky family. According to researchers, after that reconstruction, the church acquired its present appearance.
In Soviet times, the Catholic shrine was abandoned and in 1975 there was a severe fire, after which the temple was not restored for a long time and was in a dilapidated state.
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, there was interest in the ancient ruins of the temple and work began on the restoration of the chapel. Archival materials in Grodno were studied in the regional archive. Restoration of the chapel began and by June 2000, on the Day of Saints Joachim and Anna, the Catholic shrine had acquired its primary appearance.
The building was built in the classical style and the plan is decided as a rectangle. The main facade is decorated with a portico with six Doric columns and is completed with a triangular pediment. A two-tiered four-tiered tower with a cross is built over the pediment. An apse is attached to the main volume.
