Vyazynka. Museum of the first national poet Yanka Kupala.
On the way from Minsk to Molodechno, near Radoshkovich, there is a sign to the branch of the Yanka Kupala State Literary Museum in Vyazynka. It was here in the summer of 1882 that the first national poet of Belarus, Yanka Kupala, was born.
This is the first museum on the territory of Belarus dedicated to Ya. Kupala, which began operating back in August 1945. The first director was the wife of the poet Vladislava Lutsevich. In the autumn of 1946, a commemorative plaque was installed on the house where the poet was born. And the museum itself received its first guests in June 1948. The museum includes several buildings: a house, a barn, and a yard house. The area of the museum exposition is 185 square meters. In house has created a memorial room in which Kupala was born. The room has an oven, a stroller, furniture, dishes, baby walkers. The personal belongings of the poet's parents are also on display. And in the second half of the house, a historical and literary exposition has been created, where you will learn about the childhood and youth of the future poet. A few years ago, an unusual chest was installed in the room, from which the songs of Yanka Kupala sound. If you are in the museum, then ask for this magical chest to be opened for you. The exposition has a Lutsevich family tree from the 17th century, and numerous photographs of Kupala's relatives have been selected.
In 1972, the Kupalovsky Memorial Reserve was established, which covers an area of 21 hectares. During the creation of the reserve, the layout and landscape of the former folwark were preserved. There is a pond behind the house, which is crossed by a bridge. When visiting the museum, you should follow the poet's trails around the pond, look at the century-old oaks. From the right of the house, on the shore of the lake, a large clearing has been created where annual literary festivals are held.
At the entrance to the reserve there is a monument to the national poet, who performed one of the most famous Belarusian sculptors Zair Azgur.
