An unusual museum with a variety of works of art and antiques.
The museum "Saved Art Treasures" is located in a manor-type building, which was built in 1925 and is an architectural monument of the early 20th century.
The museum has unique exhibits. There are 10 halls in total, where you can see a collection of Russian icons of the 16th and early 20th centuries, paintings, old portraits, as well as a collection of antique furniture and porcelain products.
A separate hall is reserved for temporary exhibitions. Exhibitions of artists are organized in this hall, collections from other museums are presented, and concerts are held.
One of the most significant parts of the museum's collection is represented by a collection of ancient Russian icons of the 16th and early 20th centuries. Here you can view icons of different styles, explore various techniques for creating them. Icons in silver frames are presented in a separate room. Especially impressive are the ancient icons, the creation of which dates back to the 16th century. There are also Buddhist icons, which are exhibited in the Oriental Art Hall.
The products of world-famous jewelry companies - Faberge, Ovchinnikov, Khlebnikov - are presented separately. You can also explore various objects made of bronze, porcelain, antique furniture. Various art objects from Japan, China, and Central Asia are also on display.
Exhibitions of paintings, portraits, and graphics are located in various halls. Among them are the works of I. K. Aivazovsky, G. G. Myasoedov, A. G. Goravsky, M. A. Vrubel, F. Leger and other famous artists.
A separate exhibition stand is dedicated to the activities of the Brest Customs and its achievements. Here are the original photographs taken when contraband was detected, and the devices used by specialists in their work. There are also samples of objects that served as hiding places for valuables and art objects.
In general, it is an interesting and very unusual museum. It is interesting to study the expositions of different cultures. A large collection of stunning exhibits: in the museum you can find art objects for every taste. A lot of beautiful old things. Informative and interesting – I RECOMMEND IT!
