The Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul is one of the oldest wooden churches in Belarus, made without a single nail and has never been closed for 300 years.

The wooden Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, built in the style of Belarusian church architecture, is located in the center of the agro-town on a hill. It is an architectural monument of national importance.

In 1685, a wooden church of the Dominicans was founded here. During the time, the temple was repeatedly modified and reconstructed. A significant reconstruction took place in 1736.  Since the 30s of the 19th century, the church has been operating as an Orthodox church. It was consecrated in honor of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul.

Unfortunately, the old bell tower of the temple has not been preserved.  In the first half of the 20th century, a three-tiered belfry was added to the temple.

The temple has preserved a three-tiered wooden carved iconostasis with gilding, which was brought in the early 20th century from the Warsaw Cathedral, destroyed in 1926. The ancient icons for the Warsaw Cathedral were painted by the artist Vasnetsov.

The church building is distinguished by its symmetrical shapes, massive domes and images of saints on the three-nave apse. The church is surrounded by a small wooden fence.

The interior of the church is decorated with icons and paintings that reflect the rich spiritual tradition of the region.

The Church of Saints Peter and Paul not only serves as a place for worship, but is also an important cultural center where various church events are held. Locals consider this temple to be the most real unique place where unity with God is felt, where you can find peace and tranquility.

It also attracts the attention of historians and architects interested in the Belarusian heritage, because since the 18th century a very small amount of wooden Orthodox and Catholic architecture has reached us.

Today, the church is actively functioning and its doors are open to all comers. It continues to be an important symbol of faith and unity for the local community.
