Shkolny. The Church of the Heart of Jesus.

A Catholic chapel was previously located on the site of the future church, which underlines the historical connection of the local community with the Catholic tradition.

The architectural style of the church is an interesting example of Art Nouveau with elements of the Neo-Gothic style. This combination of styles creates a unique appearance of the building, which distinguishes it from other religious buildings in the region. The temple is distinguished by expressive forms typical of Art Nouveau, as well as decorative elements borrowed from the Neo-Gothic.

After the Second World War, the Church of the Heart of Jesus lost its original purpose and was used as a warehouse. As a result, the building fell into disrepair, and its condition deteriorated significantly.

However, in the early 1990s, in the context of the revival of religious life in the country, the church was returned to the local Catholic community. This event was an important step in restoring the spiritual heritage of the region and reviving the historical memory of the Catholic tradition.

Today, the Church of the Heart of Jesus in Shkolny is not only an architectural monument, but also an important center of the spiritual life of the local community, attracting the attention of both believers and tourists interested in history and architecture.

It is an interesting and beautiful church. It is in good condition, has an unusual architectural style and a non-standard architectural design. The building is asymmetrical, which is a rare phenomenon in Belarus.
