Description
There is a village of Kamen (means Stone) in the Volozhinsky district near the town of Ivenets. The name of this village is not accidental, as there is a large boulder stone on the outskirts of the village, which has the status of a natural monument.
Belarus does not have its own mountains, and therefore every large boulder has been given great attention since ancient times. They are credited with various unusual qualities. Boulders have legends and legends. And this boulder also has its own legends. One of them says that God turned one person who did not honor Christian holidays into a boulder. And the second legend says that it is worth stopping and standing near this stone – otherwise you will get lost on your way.

Belarus does not have its own high and rocky mountains, and therefore large stones and boulders have the status of historical and natural monuments. These large boulders and stones, small and large, were brought here from the Scandinavian rocks by the last glacier, which melted 10 thousand years ago.
There is a small village called Kamen in the Volozhinsky district between Ivenets and Nalibokskaya forest.
And on the outskirts of the village, there is a huge boulder with the name "Devil's Stone". This stone is considered one of the largest boulders in Belarus. The stone has the status of a natural monument and is located on the territory of the state institution "Volozhinsky experimental forestry".
As with every large boulder, there are several legends here. One of the legends tells us about the case when an evil resident of this village did not respect Christian traditions. This man worked as a partner and even worked on Easter, when everyone was resting and going to church. and for this, God punished him by turning him into stone.
Another legend says that every passerby needs to stop for a couple of minutes near this boulder. And if a person does not stop, he will definitely get lost on his way.
The boulder is located near the road and therefore it is not difficult to approach it at all.
