Description
In the Lida district along the Lida-Shchuchin highway, a couple of kilometers from the highway, near the town of Waverka, there is a small village of Myto. On the outskirts of the village is the Orthodox Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The temple was built in 1865-1866 in the form of a cross made of rubble stone and brick, in pseudo–Russian style according to a standard design, on the site of a previously existing wooden church.
In the early 1960s, the temple was closed and turned into a warehouse of a local collective farm. In the early 1990s, the church was returned to the Orthodox Church, and by 1994 it was restored and consecrated.

Myto. Church of the Intercession.
The place of Myto is very ancient, since there is a settlement here and millennia before our era.
During the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, there was a Uniate church here in the 18th century. According to the inventory of the parishes of the Lida Dean's Office for 1784, the church and the place itself are mentioned as the property of the magnates of the Pats. At the end of the 18th century, most of the population in Belarus were Uniates. In 1795, after the third partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, which at that time included the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, these places became part of the Russian Empire. The wooden Uniate church was transferred to the Orthodox believers. In 1866, a stone Orthodox church was built in the village.
During the First World War in 1915, under the occupation of German troops. Since 1921, it has been part of Poland.
The Intercession Church was built according to a standard project in pseudo –Russian style of brick and rubble stone. The building consists of four main parts: a vestibule, a refectory, a prayer hall and an apse. A multi-faceted bell tower is built above the narthex: an octagon over a quadrangle. The entrance to the church is from the side of the narthex. The prayer hall is covered with a four-pitched roof on which there is an octagonal drum with an onion. Semicircular windows are made in the walls of the temple. The church is surrounded by a stone fence around the perimeter. The building has been renovated.
