Lan'. Holy Protection Church.
In the Nesvizh district, in the village of Lan', a wooden Orthodox church has been preserved, which was consecrated in honor of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos. The temple was built at the very tip of the village at the local cemetery.
The shrine was built during the Russian Empire in 1842-1844. The funds for the construction of the church were provided by Prince Radziwill and landowner Grinevich. The local lands where the parish of the church was located belonged to these landowners.
After some time, in 1863, the church was rebuilt. The funds for the reconstruction were allocated by the state treasury. A total of 2202 rubles were allocated for the temple and the iconostasis. In 1874, a stone bell tower made of rubble stone was built opposite the church. The gates are made using the raisin-laying technique.
Then the temple was renovated at the beginning of the 20th century in 1904.
After the Great Patriotic War, the church was closed in 1962. At the end of the Soviet Union in 1990, the building was handed over to Orthodox believers. The church was consecrated again and services began to be held. In 1992, a fire broke out and the monument was damaged. The temple was rebuilt and repaired.
The church was built in the style of folk wooden architecture. The building consists of three main architectural parts: a vestibule, a prayer hall and an apse. The main volume is covered by a four-pitched roof.
