Description
The Stanislav Monyushko Museum was opened in Smilovichi in 2019. It is located in the building of the children's art school. The opening was timed to coincide with the 200th anniversary of the birth of the famous composer. Stanislav Monyushko was also a talented conductor of operas and symphony orchestras, the creator of the Belarusian and Polish national opera and song art. He is the author of such first operatic masterpieces as "Idyll" in Belarus and "Pebble" in Poland. The museum's exhibitions are dedicated to the life and work of this talented man.

The only museum in the world dedicated to the life and work of the famous talented composer Stanislav Monyushko.
Initially, the Stanislav Monyushko Museum was opened in 1969 in the composer's homeland - in the village of Ozerny in the Chervensky district. The collection of exhibits related to Monyushko's life has been carried out since the 1960s by the director of the village school Vasily Nesterovich and his daughter, thanks to whom the first permanent museum exposition was created.
Since 2019, the exposition has been moved to the museum in the village of Smilovichi, where today a music lounge and two exhibition halls are presented in a single complex.
It is known that Monyushko grew up in the family estate in the Smilovichi estate, which his grandfather acquired back in 1791. Stanislav Monyushko was baptized in the Smilovichi Church. Therefore, this village was chosen for a reason to host the exhibition.
The museum presents a number of interesting exhibits related to the life and creative activities of Monyushko and his family. Personal belongings, antique photographs, authentic musical notes and collections of the composer, as well as his original costumes are stored here.
This is an excellent museum with an interesting exposition that arouses interest. At the end of the tour, you can book a concert of Monyushko's works in a small concert hall.
