Rybaki. The Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul.

The Orthodox Church in the village of Rybaki was founded back in the 18th century, but its building was damaged and burned down during the First World War. In 1936, the church was restored and consecrated in honor of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul.

The parish geographically belongs to the village of Rybaki, however, due to the proximity of the village of Svetlyany and mentions in the geographical directory of the 19th century, the temple is sometimes mistakenly associated with Svetlyany.

Architecturally, the church is made in a retrospective Russian style, reflecting the traditions of Orthodox architecture. The building covers an area of about 100 square meters, has a square base, a gable roof with an onion dome, and an attached two-tiered bell tower. Inside, the altar and prayer hall are traditionally distinguished, separated by a painted wooden iconostasis.

During the occupation of Belarus during the Second World War, the church did not operate, but the building survived. During the Soviet period, it was used as a utility room. After the church was returned to the faithful, it was re-consecrated, and the parish resumed its activities.

According to legend, the temple in Rybaki appeared on the site of the appearance of the Mother of God. Every year on July 12, the Day of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, a festive divine service is held here, attracting many believers and pilgrims.
