Dubno. Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.

The Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas is located in Dubno, Mosty district. The place is located on the banks of the Neman River and once there was an ancient wooden church, which was washed away during the spring flood. And then it was decided to build a new church. The new stone church was built in 1844 and consecrated in 1850 by Bishop Ignatius of Brest.

There is an interesting legend about the construction of the shrine. That this majestic Orthodox church was originally intended for the city of Dubno in Ukraine and was designed by an Italian architect, but the builders confused the settlements and built it in the small village of Dubno in Belarus.

The church has never been closed since its construction and has always worked, including in Soviet times. In 1864, the building was reconstructed according to the design of architect V. Michaelis.

The temple is designed for three thousand people and its area is 720 square meters.

The monument was erected in a retrospective Russian style. It has a cuboid volume, a centrally-semitric four-pillar, five-domed temple. Covered with a four-pitched roof and mounted on a high round drum, topped with a massive onion dome. The territory of the temple is fenced with a stone fence.
