Delyatichi. Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.

In the Novogrudok district, in the town of Delyatichi, which is located on the banks of the Neman River, the Orthodox Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross was built in the center of the town.

The place has a long history and was first mentioned in the 14th century during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. It belonged to Grand Duke Vytautas, and in 1428 the prince gave the place to his wife Juliana. In the 17th century it belonged to the Radziwills.

A Calvinist sbor, a brewery, a mill, an inn and a church were built here. During the Russian Empire in the 1870s, there were two mills, a tavern, a shop, 2 churches and a school.

In 1876, a wooden Orthodox church was built at the local cemetery. A two-tiered stone bell tower made of rubble stone has been erected near the temple.

The church was built in the traditions of wooden folk architecture. It consists of four main architectural parts: the vestibule, the refectory, the prayer hall and the apse. A four–pitched roof with a small faceted drum and an onion turret was erected above the main volume. The territory of the temple is fenced with a stone fence. The church is active.
