Description

A stone Orthodox church was built in the Novogrudok district in the village of Vselyub, which was consecrated in honor of St. Michael. It is not known exactly when the temple was originally built and to whom it belonged, possibly to Uniates. In the 19th century, the Baroque building was rebuilt and given the features of a retrospective Russian style. The interior has an iconostasis and an icon of the 18th century "Great Martyr Barbara". The stone gate-bell tower in front of the temple is built of rubble stone. The territory of the church is surrounded by a stone fence. The church is active.

Vselyub. St. Michael's Church.

On the way from Novogrudok to Ivye, there is an ancient village of Vselyub in the Novogrudok district. Several religious buildings and historical sites have been preserved in the village.

The Orthodox Church of St. Michael was built in the center of the village. The church was built during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the 18th century on the site of an older temple, which was erected in 1630. At first, the church apparently belonged to Uniate believers.

During the years of the Russian Empire in the 1840s, the temple was rebuilt. A two–tiered stone bell tower was built in 1884 at the expense of parishioners. The temple was built on the site of an ancient cemetery, where several dozen graves have been preserved, including those of Princess Sofia Dolgorukova.

The church was built in the Baroque style with elements of the retrospective Russian style. The building consists of two main architectural parts: a prayer hall and an apse.

A two-tiered tower of eight on four is built above the facade. The tower is completed by an octagonal drum and an onion dome. The building is covered with a gable roof. The building has been renovated in recent years.
