Ostashino. Chechot's Manor.

In the Novogrudok district, in the village of Ostashino, there is a Chechot's Manor. To get there, you need to go from Novogrudok to the town of Lyubcha, and Ostashino will be on the right side a few kilometers before Lyubcha. The estate is located between Ostashino and the village of Zalozki.

The researchers note that Ostashino is the oldest village in the Novogrudok district. It was first mentioned in historical sources in 1401. The place belonged to Prince Vytautas at that time. In 1428, Vytautas transferred Ostashino to his wife Juliana for life. The next owners were the Chartoriyskys, the Solomeretskys, and the Kishka magnates. In the 17th and 18th centuries, they were ruled by the Radziwills.

In the 19th century, a stone palace belonging to the Chechot family was built in Ostashino. During the Great Patriotic War, the palace burned down, but was rebuilt. In Soviet times, there was a secondary school in the building. It was only in 2004 that the school ceased to be located in the manor.

The palace building is a one-story stone building with a high basement. The monument was erected in the classical style. It has large rectangular windows. There is a park and a wooden wing next to the estate. Until recently, there was a wooden two-story mill in the village.
