Berezino. Pototski Manor.
The town of Berezino looks quite modern, but it is already 600 years old. And there are two pre-revolutionary buildings here: a brick warehouse at the brewery, made of red brick, and a two-story manor house of the Potocki family on the banks of the Berezina River. The Pototskis themselves lived in Warsaw in the 19th century and came here for summer vacations. If now in the summer during our vacation we try to go outside the borders of Belarus to distant overseas countries, then before the revolution, gentlemen from big cities loved to build themselves estates in the remotest places of Belarus and relax among our unique nature. The manor building was built at the beginning of the 19th century, brick, two-story in the style of classicism. Since the building is located on the very bank of the river, the bank was strengthened with a rubble stone support. The building is covered with a hip roof. In the center of the main facade there is a mezzanine on four pylons, which ends with a triangular pediment. The window openings are rectangular. The corridor layout of the house is distinguished by a central lobby and a circular main hall. In Soviet times, there was a school in the building. In recent years, the estate has been empty and neglected. In the future, it is planned to open a regional museum of local history here.
