The ruins of a once majestic church in the architectural style of classicism.
The settlement of Rovanichi at the end of the 18th century belonged to the noble family of Slotvinsky. A representative of the Anton Slotvinsky family began the construction of the manor here, and in 1799 he laid a church opposite the manor across the lake, consecrating it in honor of the heavenly patron Saint Anthony.
The church was built in the classical style. The building had a rectangular shape, a triangular pediment. The facade was decorated with majestic columns. The temple was assigned the role of a family crypt, so a crypt was specially built under the altar.
After 1918, the temple was looted, soon closed and began to be used as a warehouse. Then it was not used for a long time, gradually collapsing. A fire that occurred at the end of the 20th century, very much put the church building into disrepair.
To date, the side walls with columns and side spiral staircases have survived. On the walls, you can see the surviving decorative elements. On the territory of the local cemetery, where the church is located, you can find a monument to a relative of the Slotvinskys - Jozefa Korzakovich, who died in 1885.
A very interesting atmospheric place, which, unfortunately, is not being restored!
