Khotlany. Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos.
In the center of the village of Khotlany, an Orthodox wooden church stands on a hill, which was consecrated in honor of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos. The five-domed Orthodox church was built during the Russian Empire in 1879. The temple was built on the foundation of the family of Zawisha.
In the 19th century, the church had a two-tiered iconostasis with 13 icons. There were church items: two silver chalices, an altarpiece, two Gospels. One Gospel is in silver, and the other is in copper. The church archive has had metric books since 1797. There was a bell tower and three bells next to the church. The largest bell weighed 4 pounds.
Five cemeteries with chapels were assigned to the church. The parish included 8 villages and towns. There were 1,190 men and 1,175 women in the congregation. There were two priests at the temple: the psalmist and the rector. There was a church land of 70 tithes. There was a church estate attached to the church: a priest's house, a cattle shed, two barns and a threshing floor. The psalmist had a house, a barn, and a threshing floor. There was a parish school and a parish trusteeship at the shrine.
A few years ago, the architectural monument was severely damaged during a fire. Then the temple was restored. The church is active.
