Dudy. Church of the 18th century
The town of Dudy was first mentioned in the 16th century. And the first church was renovated at the beginning of the 17th century with the funds of the Khodkevich magnates. The Church of the Virgin Mary was built in 1772 on the site of the old church. A two-story bell tower was erected next to the Catholic church. The church is a monument of wooden architecture in the Baroque style. The building is single-nave, two-towered with a pentagonal apse. Lateral sacristies are attached to the church. The towers on the main facade are multi-tiered, four-tiered, between which there is a triangular pediment. During the time of the Polish state, a third tier was built on the towers. The interior is painted with an ornament in the modern style. There are 3 baroque wooden altars in the church. The central altar is two-tiered and houses an 18th-century icon of the Mother of God with the Child. The Church is active.
