Polozhevichi. The Dashkevich Estate.
In the village of Polozhevichi, which are located in the Starodorozhsky district, the estate of the Dashkevich family has been preserved to this day. Polozhevichi is located between the regional town of Glusk and the Starye Dorogi. Today, Polozhevichi has the status of an agro-town with a population of about 500 people.
There is a mass grave of the partisans of the Great Patriotic War and a monument to the fallen countrymen in the village.
The estate of the Dashkevich family has been partially preserved. The manor was built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries during the time of the Russian Empire.
The economic palace is wooden, one-storied. Covered by a four-pitched roof. The central part has two floors. In Soviet times, the building was besieged with bricks. In recent years, the house has been covered with siding. A local museum of local lore has now been established in the building.
Several outbuildings have also been preserved, including a winery. The buildings are built in the style of industrial eclecticism. The old park has been partially preserved.
