Description
There is a museum of local lore in the town of Uzda. The building is two-storeyed and has six halls. The area is 1200 square meters.
The decree on the opening of the museum was adopted in 1981. The exhibition has been operating since 1986.
Near the museum there is a wooden "Potter's hut", where you can get acquainted with the life of a Belarusian peasant of the 19th century.
The museum presents a collection of archaeological finds, objects of ethnography and everyday life of Belarusians. There are many materials on the Great Patriotic War. The museum has an exhibition hall where temporary exhibitions are displayed.

Uzda. Regional Museum of Local Lore.
There is a local history museum in the small town of Uzda. The decision to open the museum was made in Soviet times in 1981. The first exposition started working in the fall of 1986. Currently, the museum has six halls and an area of 1,200 square meters.
The museum has a significant collection of archaeological finds telling about the most ancient period of the history of this region. The museum staff has collected many objects of ethnography and everyday life of Belarusians: blacksmiths, Potters, embroidery and folk weaving, wood carvings.
To get acquainted with the local nature, flora and fauna, individual representatives of animals and birds are exhibited.
A separate section of the exhibition is dedicated to outstanding countrymen and architectural monuments. A few kilometers from Uzda there is a place called Kukhtici, where the residence of the Zawisha magnates was. The Belarusian philanthropist Magdalena Radziwill lived here. The 17th century Calvinist assembly building has been preserved here. Now Kukhtich is called Pervomaisk.
A significant part of the exposition is occupied by exhibits dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War. There are documents, weapons, leaflets, military awards, letters from the front, as well as personal belongings of war veterans.
