Stolin. Regional Museum of Local Lore.

There is a suburb of the city of Stolin, a place called Mankovichi with a large 19th-century park. There was once a significant estate with a two-story palace of Prince Radziwill.

The palace has not been preserved, but the park will amaze anyone with its beauty and splendor. The Stolin Regional Museum of Local Lore is located in the center of the park. The museum was officially founded in Soviet times in 1953, and the first exhibition appeared only in 1955.

At first, the museum building was in the city center, but then the institution was moved to Mankovichi Park. Since 1976, the museum has been operating in the park and during this time a lot of work has been done to collect materials and organize the exposition. To date, there are more than 20 thousand exhibits on display. There are collections of photographic documents, bonistics, numismatics, faleristics, and more.

In 2005, after renovation, a new exhibition was opened, which has also been significantly replenished and changed in recent years. The 4th exposition in a row during the museum's existence is already in operation. The exhibition is spread over six halls: the hall of nature, archeology, three halls of history and ethnography. The ethnographic collection contains unique ceramic dishes from the town of Grodno, icons of weaving and towels, and folk costumes.

In 2023, a hall dedicated to the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War was opened.

The staff of the institution is actively searching for new exhibits. The museum has several branches, which are described in detail on the museum's website.
