The first exit of the BelAZ dump truck from the factory gates will forever remain in memory. All the workers, technologists and designers stopped their work and gathered in a crowd in front of the gate, full of expectation and anticipation. When the engine of the first BelAZ was started, everyone unanimously applauded and loudly shouted "hurrah", marking this important moment in the history of the plant.

The company was founded in 1948 as a peat engineering plant. In 1950, he released his first products. Since 1951, the plant has been redesignated into a factory of road and reclamation machines called DORMASH. In 1958, the company received a new name — the Belarusian Automobile Plant and switched to the production of trucks, releasing the first 25-ton MAZ-525 dump truck in the same year.

From 1961 to the present day, the company has been producing dump trucks under the BELAZ brand. In 2013, the plant created the BELAZ-75710 dump truck, which has the largest load capacity in the history of domestic engineering — 450 tons. This dump truck was listed in the "Book of Records of the CIS" and "Book of Records of Europe".

The BelAZ monument is a 25-ton BelAZ dump truck mounted on a high pedestal with a commemorative inscription: "Our pride and glory to the creators of quarry dump trucks." The monument is located in the park area along the street "40 years of October", on the outskirts of the park named after the 50th anniversary of BelAZ, at the fence of the enterprise territory. This BelAZ dump truck has become a symbol of the city of Zhodino, reflecting the power and achievements of the plant.
