Zbochno. Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.

The wooden Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross was built in the village of Zbochno in the Slonim district. The temple is located on a hill and is surrounded by a rubble stone fence.

The first church in the village was built during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the 17th century. The temple was located in the local cemetery. The new wooden Orthodox church was built during the Russian Empire in 1850. After the Great Patriotic War, the shrine was closed. The building was handed over to believers and renovated in 1991. The church is active.

The monument was erected in the traditions of folk wooden architecture. The church consists of three main architectural parts: a vestibule, a prayer hall and an apse. A four-pointed bell tower is built above the vestibule, which is completed with an octagonal drum and an onion tent. The main volume is covered with a gable roof.

There is an archaeological site on the outskirts of the village.

The Belarusian playwright, novelist and writer Kondrat Leiko (1860-1921) hails from this region, from the very village of Zbochno. He studied at the gymnasium near Grodno in Svisloch. He began writing poetry for children in the Belarusian language in the 1880s. He was published in Belarusian newspapers. In Vilnius, he published a separate edition of the play "The sleeping poppy" in 1912, which is considered the first play for the Belarusian puppet theater.
