Zabolot. The Church of the Holy Trinity.

The first mention of the Holy Trinity Church dates back to 1622. Initially, the temple was made of wood and, unfortunately, it has not been preserved.

In 1803-1812, a stone church was built on the same site, surrounded by a rubble fence with a three–arched frame.

The church building with a gable roof has an elongated shape, and the main facade is accompanied by three-tiered bell towers. A small belfry tower with bells has been erected near the church. These bells with the engraving "1817" were found here during excavation work in 2009.

The interior of the Church of the Holy Trinity is presented in the form of murals, which mainly pay attention to Saints Paul and Peter. Inside, you can also see beautiful stained glass windows that create a special atmosphere. Two ancient icons of the Mother of God of the 18th and 19th centuries are kept in the temple.

The church was built for the Catholic community of the agricultural town of Zabolot and became an important center of the spiritual life of local residents.

During the Soviet years, the temple was closed. Local residents managed to defend the shrine so that it would not be turned into a grain storage warehouse. And for many years now, divine services, weddings and other religious ceremonies have been held here. 

Today, the bicentennial church of the Holy Trinity, made entirely in the classical style, attracts the attention of both locals and tourists. It is not only a religious center, but also a significant cultural center.

The Church of the Holy Trinity in Zabolot is not only an architectural gem, but also an important part of the cultural heritage of Belarus, reflecting the history and traditions of the region.
