Vysokoye. Church of St. Ilya.

The church of St. Ilya in the town of Vysokoye, Orsha district, was built in the first half of the 19th century. The founder was the owner of the local estate Konstantin Lyubomirsky. The church is a retrospective architectural monument - Russian style. The building consists of the canonical parts of the Orthodox church of that time: vestibule, refectory, prayer hall and apse. A wide vestibule with a tall octagonal tower – a belfry above it, followed by a long refectory, a cube-shaped prayer hall with side aisles and a semicircular apse with side sacristy. There used to be a dome above the roof. Architectural plastic is created by shaped brickwork. In Soviet times, the church was closed and fell into disrepair. Restovration is not yet underway.
