Vyazyn. Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos.

The Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, located in the village of Vyazyn, has an interesting and rich history. In the 18th century, a church was built on the site of the current church, which served the Catholic faithful. However, after the uprising of 1863, when the situation in the region changed, the building was handed over to the Orthodox. Unfortunately, at that time the church was in a deplorable condition and it was decided to completely rebuild it.

The second half of the 19th century was marked by the construction of a new wooden church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It was built small, but architecturally very beautiful and interesting.

The architectural scheme of the temple consists of three log cabins, the main volume is two—tiered, culminating in a polygonal light drum with a crown on top. The pediment serves as an element of finishing the gable roof above the main entrance and the five-module apse. The walls of the church have rectangular windows, which are decorated with delicate architraves with triangular sandriks.

Until the 1990s, the temple was used as a club.

In 2005, the building underwent restoration and the temple began to be used for its intended purpose. He became an important part of the local community and a symbol of the spiritual life of the village.

Today, the church continues to perform its functions and attracts the attention of both locals and tourists. The Church of the Intercession is one of the attractions of the village, preserving the spirit of history and tradition. Its architecture and cozy atmosphere make this place special for everyone who visits Vyazyn.

The temple is located at the entrance to the village in a very picturesque place on the shore of a large beautiful reservoir, and the main facade of the temple faces the central square of the village.
