Vorona. St. George's Church.

A stone Catholic church of St. George was built in the village of Vorona, Ostrovets district. The temple was built in the 17th – 18th centuries during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The shrine was built in a local cemetery on the outskirts of the town. The monument was created in the Baroque style. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, a square sacristy was added to the church. In Soviet times, the church was closed. The shrine was handed over to believers in the last years of Soviet rule in 1990.

The building is rectangular in plan. The monument is covered with a gable roof. The main facade of the temple is completed with a three-tiered pediment.

The interior is of a communal type. There are choirs above the entrance. The fence of the choir is wooden, they have murals. The walls are decorated with pilasters. There are frescoes with images of the apostles. In the altar wall there is a niche and a fresco image of a perspective altar with columns of the Ionic order. The murals on the path imitate the ceiling. The monument has been renovated in recent years. The church is functioning.

The village also has a mass grave of Soviet soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War.
