Voloduta. The winery building.

A stone winery building has been preserved in the village of Voloduta in the Cherven district. Voloduta is located on the way from Cherven to the town of Rovanichi. The winery building was erected next to the road. Therefore, it is very easy to inspect the beautiful old building. Voloduta was first found in written sources in the 18th century during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.

In 1781, the place belongs to Bishop Masalsky. At that time, 53 people lived here and there were 11 courtyards. The mill was working. After the second partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in 1793, the town became part of the Russian Empire. At that time, it belonged to the Rovanichi estate, where A. Slatvinsky was the owner. In 1800, Voloduta was part of the Igumen district of the Minsk province.

During the anti-Russian uprising led by K. Kalinovsky in 1863, near Voloduta, the rebels, led by Stanislav Leskovsky, captured the head of the third reserve division, General Grunt. However, the general was soon released on the condition that he would no longer fight with the rebels.

In 1897, 71 people lived in Voloduta and there were 15 courtyards. A distillery was operating. The distillery building has survived to our time and consists of two buildings: a distillery and a distillery. The buildings were built in the early 20th century. The brewery was built of rubble stone and red brick in the style of industrial eclecticism. The owner of the brewery was Jozef Slatvinsky.

In Soviet times, there was a grain storage facility in the building. The building is currently in an abandoned condition. The roof collapsed and only the walls remained.
