The Bagration House is not only an architectural monument, but also an important part of the cultural heritage of Belarus.

The manor house was built in 1805 in the classical style, which is manifested in symmetrical shapes, columns and decorative elements. The building was surrounded by a picturesque park, which was also part of the manor complex. The park was decorated with alleys, ponds and rare plants, which created an atmosphere of privacy and tranquility.

The Bagration House is not only an architectural value, but also an important cultural object. At different times, significant events related to the history of the region and the country as a whole took place here. The manor served as a meeting place for famous personalities, which adds to its historical significance. For example, in 1812, the headquarters of the 2nd Russian army, commanded by P. I. Bagration, was located here.

In the second half of the 19th century, the building was used as a city hospital, then it was a shelter for the elderly. At the beginning of the 20th century, the manor house belonged to private owners.

During the Second World War, the building was partially destroyed. In 1949, the manor house was restored, however, its internal redevelopment was carried out. The building houses the Volkovysk Military Historical Museum named after Pyotr Ivanovich Bagration (founded in 1935 as a local history museum, looted in World War II, restored in 1948).

In 1950, a bronze bust of P. I. Bagration by Z. was installed in front of the entrance to the manor house. Azgura, and on the building itself in 1957 there was a memorial plaque.

The six halls of the P. I. Bagration Military History Museum, located in an ancient manor house, today house an impressive exposition dedicated to the events of the war of 1812. The exposition covers the period of European history from the end of the 18th century to 1812.

There are many valuable specimens here, starting with soldiers' uniforms and ending with a large-scale weapons collection. A special place in the museum is occupied by a massive cannon, with which active battles were fought with the enemy on the battlefields. There are also original paintings dedicated to significant events for Belarus.

The museum covers in detail the events not only of the war, but also of the European world. Much attention is paid here to the historical figure of Napoleon Bonaparte and the iconic Battle of Borodino. The visitors' attention is also focused on the Battle of Volkovysk.  A rich collection of many curious orders and engravings is of interest.

The manor House of Bagration in Volkovysk is not only an architectural monument, but also an important part of the cultural heritage of Belarus, which continues to attract the attention of both locals and tourists.
