Vezhnoe. The Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.

In the Pruzhany district, on the way between Kamenets and Pruzhany, there is a place called Vezhnoe. On the outskirts of the village, a wooden Orthodox church in honor of St. Nicholas was built at the local cemetery. The temple was built during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in 1772. Although there is another date, 1799.

In 1863, a bell tower was added to the church. This was the last significant rebuilding of the temple, and the shrine has never been closed in its entire history.

During the war with the French in 1812, fighting took place near the church, but the temple remained intact. During the Great Patriotic War, one shell damaged the altar part of the building. After the war, the church worked in Soviet times.

The church was built in the traditions of folk wooden architecture and at first consisted of a prayer hall and an apse. During the time of the Russian Empire, a vestibule with a bell tower was completed. The bell tower is a multi-tiered octagon on a quad.

The interior has choirs and there is an icon of the Most Holy Theotokos "Smolenskaya" and an icon of the Virgin of the 19th century, which was donated to the temple by a priest for saving the family of the Russian emperor during a train wreck. The building has been renovated in recent years. The territory near the temple is landscaped. A stone fence has been made. Not far from the church there is a convent, which was established in recent years - the Monastery of the Nativity of the Virgin.
