Venzovets. The Church of Peter and Paul.
The stone Orthodox church was built in the town of Venzovets in 1872. Until now, there was an old wooden Uniate church of the 18th century, which was dismantled in 1871. The Uniate Church was built in 1755 in the Baroque style in the traditions of Belarusian folk wooden architecture. By 1840, the church had fallen into disrepair and the building needed repairs. Since 1860, the church was closed for worship and the priest of the temple appealed to the Grodno governor with a request to build a new church.
The new church building was built according to a standard project in pseudo–Russian style.
The temple is built according to an elongated axial composition and consists of four main parts: a vestibule, a refectory, a prayer hall and an apse. A three-tiered bell tower is built over the narthex: an eight on a four. The prayer hall has a cuboid main volume and a semicircular apse. The prayer hall is covered with a four-pitched roof with five onion domes. The facades of the church are decorated with decor and plastic, which is characteristic of the architecture of the period of the Moscow Kingdom. Portals with a keel-shaped frame and kokoshniks.
The church has been renovated in recent years. The churchyard is surrounded by a stone fence around the perimeter.
