Tyrvovichi. Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos church.

The Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Tyrvovichi is a significant monument of folk architecture located in the center of the village.

The construction of the temple is controversial among researchers: some date it to the end of the XVIII century, others to the middle of the XIX century.

The temple is made in the traditional style of folk architecture, which is manifested in the absence of decorative exterior elements. The exception is the bulbous dome, which is a characteristic feature of the retrospective Russian style and appeared as a result of a later restructuring.

The architectural solution of the church is a rectangular log cabin with a triangular altar part covered with a tin tent roof, on which an onion dome is located. Adjacent to the facade of the church is a two-tiered quadrangular hipped belfry, which previously looked like a low vestibule with a pointed roof.

The walls of the temple are lined horizontally and cut through with rectangular window openings decorated with figured carved platbands.

The church was restored in 1992, which made it possible to preserve its historical value and architectural features.

It is included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Values of the Republic of Belarus.
