Tolkovo. Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.

There is a place called Tolkovo between Drogichin and Kobrin near the M10 highway. On the very outskirts of the village is the Orthodox Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.

The church was built in 1905 at the expense of parishioners. For the construction of the shrine, land was allocated, which was given to local resident Luka Ryzhuk for the 25th anniversary of his "impeccable service to the Fatherland." After the Peace of Riga was concluded in 1921, the place passed to Poland until 1939.

The temple worked during the time of the Polish state and during the Great Patriotic War. In Soviet times, in 1962, according to the decree of the Drogichin district executive committee, the temple was closed. The upper part of the church was dismantled. The building was rebuilt and the premises were adapted to the cultural needs of the May 1st collective farm. This happened in 1964. The House of Culture worked here until the last years of the USSR and the building was handed over to Orthodox believers in 1990.

The temple was renovated. The first service in the new church took place in July 1991 on the day of the celebration of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. Four nearby villages are assigned to the church.

The church consists of four main parts: the vestibule, the refectory, the prayer hall and the apse. A two-tiered bell tower is built over the vestibule. The temple is covered with a gable roof. An onion dome on an octagonal drum rises above the main volume.
