Ruins of the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin in the agricultural town of Svecha.

The construction of the church began in the middle of the 19th century and was completed in 1895. The temple was a single-nave structure with a towering tower. By the way, it was built from local materials, which emphasized the connection with the surrounding nature and the traditions of local architecture.

The church had characteristic eclectic features: a combination of Gothic, Byzantine and classical elements, which gave it a special expressiveness and originality.

Unfortunately, over time, the church fell into disrepair, and today we can only see ruins that remind us of the former greatness and significance of this architectural structure.

Despite the destruction, the ruins of the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin remain an important cultural heritage site, attracting the attention of historians and tourists interested in the architecture and history of the region.

There is a functioning church nearby, which was built thanks to the efforts of local residents.

Since 2023, the reconstruction of this beautiful ancient temple has begun here. The bell tower has already been restored. Perhaps soon we will be able to see it in its original form.
