The Church of St. Nicholas in the village of Slobodka is a monument of architecture of the neo-Russian style.
The Church of St. Nicholas is located in the center of the village, near the Black Lake. It is built of red brick.
The main architectural composition of the building was a multi-tiered tower with a wooden dome. The church had a high square base, four rectangular apses. There are compact sacristy rooms on the sides of the church. The walls were decorated with pilasters and arched cornices. The facades of the temple were decorated with rustication, semi-columns, multi-faceted cornices, belts.
Unfortunately, after the Second World War, the temple began to decline. The church has been closed since 1935.
Today it is a historical landmark of Belarus. An interesting architectural and historical site.
The ruins of the church have been preserved, and the surrounding area is surrounded by a fence. Perhaps, if desired, the church can still be saved...
Two other interesting sites can be seen near the ruins: an old cemetery with ancient gravestones, as well as two stone crosses protruding from the ground. There is no information about their origin or purpose - we can only guess.
