Simakovo. Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos.
A stone Orthodox Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built in the Korelichi district in the village of Simakovo. The place is located between the cities of Mir and Nesvizh. The church is located in the very center of the village.
The shrine was built during the Russian Empire in 1866.
In Soviet times, after the Great Patriotic War, the church was closed. The building was adapted for social needs and a local club was opened here.
At the end of the Soviet Union in 1990, the building was handed over to Orthodox believers and renovation began. In 1991, the church was consecrated.
The church has a rectangular shape and consists of two main architectural parts: a prayer hall and an apse. The building is covered with a gable roof. An onion dome is located on the drum on the roof. Above the facade there is a triangular pediment and a small hexagonal tent turret.
The church has been renovated in recent years. The surrounding area is landscaped.
