Signevichi. Church of the Virgin Mary.

There is an ancient stone Catholic church in the Bereza district in the town of Signevichi. The monument is located just a couple of kilometers from the M1 highway and therefore it is not difficult to drive up to it and see it.

The first church was mentioned during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in 1534. The temple was made of wood and was built at the expense of Florian Rudogovsky. In 1785, a new stone church was erected on the same site. The sponsors of the temple were the owners of the local estate Maria and Jozef Khaletsky-Prozory. There was a hospital and a school at the shrine. After Joseph's death, he was buried in this church.

During the time of the Russian Empire, after the suppression of the anti-Russian uprising, the church was handed over to Orthodox believers in 1848 and the building was rebuilt as the Intercession Church.

After the Peace of Riga in 1921, this territory became part of the Polish state, and in 1922, with the help of the gentry of the Ley-Neigefs and priest Isidore Niedrashlyansky, the church was restored. In 1938, there were more than two thousand parishioners.

After the Great Patriotic War, the church was closed and there was a fertilizer warehouse. The church was handed over to Catholic believers only at the end of the existence of the Soviet Union. The building was renovated and services began again.

The church is a single-nave stone church. It was built in the Sarmatian Baroque style.
