Sidelniki. Paraskeva Friday Church.

On the outskirts of the village of Sidelniki, near the lake, there is a stone Orthodox church in honor of St. Paraskeva Friday.

Before its construction, there was a wooden Orthodox church on this site. It is unknown by whom and when the wooden church was built. But the temple was ancient. In the middle of the 19th century, Mikhail Krechetovich, a graduate of the Vilna Theological Seminary, served as a priest at the church. In 1861, the parish consisted of 816 men and 842 women. The Church included 2 old wooden chapels in nearby villages.

In 1872, and according to other sources in 1865, a new stone Orthodox church was built on the old foundations.

In the 1950s, during the Soviet era, the church was closed and adapted for storage.

In 1991, the temple was returned to the faithful and repair work began to restore the shrine. In December 1995, the church was consecrated. The consecration was conducted by Metropolitan Filaret of Minsk and Slutsk, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus.

The church was built according to a standard design. The building consists of four main parts: a vestibule, a refectory, a prayer hall and an apse. A bell tower was built above the narthex. The prayer hall has 3 windows on each side with kokoshniks on top. The church is surrounded by a stone fence.
