Landmark
Belarus, Minsk region, Pukhovichi district, Shimanov Kut.
Description
An economic building, a winery warehouse, has been erected in the Pukhovichi district in the village of Shimanov Kut. The village of Shimanov Kut was formerly called Onufrevo. In the Onufrevo farmstead, the owners during the Russian Empire were Yanishevskys, and earlier Shvykovskys. At the beginning of the 20th century, a distillery operated on the estate, which had a steam engine. With the establishment of Soviet power in 1920, the estate and the winery were nationalized.
A warehouse building has been preserved from the winery to our time, which is somewhat similar to a small castle. The warehouse is built of red brick in the eclectic style, or industrial architecture. It has a rectangle in plan and is covered with a gable roof. Small four-sided turrets are built on the corners, and there are two windows in the side walls.

Shimanov Kut. The winery's warehouse.
In the Pukhovichi district, in a place with the beautiful name of Shimanov Kut, the winery's storage building has been preserved. The town of Shimanov Kut was called Onufrevo until the 1920s.
The Onufrevo estate belonged to the Yanishevsky noble family. And even before the Yanishevskys, the Shvykovskys were the owners here. Onufrevo was part of the Tsitva estate, a neighboring place where there was a manor house with the Yanishevsky Palace.
The owner of the estate during the Russian Empire in 1889 was Ignatius Ludvigovich Yanishevsky – a nobleman of the Catholic faith. The estate was part of the Igumen district of the Minsk province and had 1,400 desyatinas of land.
Before the First World War in 1913, Caesary Ignatievich Yanishevsky had 2,612 desyatinas of land. At that time, a distillery was operating on the estate. Which had a steam engine. The company employed six employees and the annual production of the winery produced products worth 16 thousand rubles. In 1918, these places were occupied by German troops. In January 1919, it became part of Soviet Belarus. In 1919-1920, there was a Polish occupation. Since the summer of 1920, it has been part of the BSSR again. And that year, the estate and the winery in the village were nationalized. In 1926, 51 people lived in the town of Shimanov Kut and there were only 12 courtyards.
The winery's warehouse building has been preserved in good condition from the winery complex. The building was built in the early 20th century from red brick in the style of industrial architecture. It has a rectangle in the plan. Covered by gable roof. Small four-sided turrets are built on the corners.
