Shilovichi. The Church of the Holy Trinity.

The Church of the Holy Trinity was built for 8 years. It is built of red brick with a huge number of decorative elements. The niches are painted white, which adds to the grandeur of the structure. The church was consecrated in 1914.

There were very difficult times in the history of the temple. The church was closed by the Soviet authorities and was used as a warehouse for 30 years from 1959 to 1989. During this period, the shrine lost ancient icons, sculptures, utensils, and an organ. Some things ended up in the church of a neighboring village, some of the items were hidden by local residents, and some were completely thrown away.

Recently, the church has been restored and restored, which has allowed to preserve its historical value and continue the traditions of the local Catholic community.

Today, icons such as the Immaculate Conception, which locals consider miraculous, and the Holy Family, as well as sculptures of the Mother of God, the Apostle John, St. Nicholas and St. Casimir are also kept here. All this was created in the 17th century.
