Semigostichi. The Church of St. John the Theologian.

In the Stolin district, between David-Gorodok and Turov, there is a place called Semigostichi. A wooden Orthodox church was built in the middle of the village, which was consecrated in honor of St. John the Theologian.

The church was built during the Russian Empire in the early 20th century in 1912. There was an old church on this site, which was built in the early 19th century.

The consecration of the shrine took place in October 1912. The church worked during the time of the Polish state, during the Great Patriotic War and was closed during the Soviet years in 1961. It was only in the last years of the Soviet Union that the church was handed over to Orthodox believers in July 1989.

The temple was built in the traditions of folk wooden architecture. The building consists of four main parts: a vestibule, a refectory, or vestibule, a prayer hall and an apse. A three-tiered bell tower is built above the vestibule, which is covered with a four-pitched roof. The entrance is decorated in the form of a canopy with a porch. The refectory is covered with a gable roof. The main volume is covered by a four-pitched roof, which is completed with an octagonal drum with an onion tent. The pentagonal apse completes the composition of the temple. The interior has a three-tiered iconostasis.
