Rukhcha 1. Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.
If you get from Stolin to Pinsk, on the right there is a turn to the village of Radchitsk, where you can see the stone Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God. You drive through the place, and after a few kilometers the road will lead you to the village of Rukhcha 1.
In the center of the village there is a small wooden church, which was consecrated in honor of St. Nicholas. The temple was built during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in 1730. Then it was renovated at the end of the 18th century at the expense of the Skirmunts.
The church is an architectural monument of folk wooden architecture. The monument has features of the Baroque style. The temple consists of a rectangular log house, where a triangular apse is attached to the main volume. The temple is covered with a hip roof and is completed with an octagonal drum with a small dome. Initially, the roof was covered with shingles. There are rectangular windows in the side walls. A small vestibule is attached to the main volume, which is covered with a gable roof.
A two-tiered four-tiered bell tower has been built in front of the church, which is covered with a hipped roof.
Earlier in the interior of the church of St. Nicholas there was an icon "God Mother of Odigitria" from 1760. Then this precious ancient icon was transferred to the Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God in the neighboring town of Radchitsk.
