A very beautiful and majestic church in the Neo-Gothic style.

The Church of St. Joseph, located in the village of Rubezhevichi, was built in the Neo-Gothic style between 1906 and 1910.

The building is made of cement and lined with stone slabs. The height of the temple reaches 45 meters, the foundation measures 6 meters deep and 4 meters wide. Two bells, made between 1925 and 1939, hang on the towers.

The construction work was led by Father Jozef Skakovsky, and the church was consecrated by Bishop Zygmunt Lozinsky in 1921.

Interestingly, the previous history of the temple's construction was very unusual. Local resident Antonio Tour, a man with deep faith, sought to build a Catholic church house in Rubezhevichi. He applied to St. Petersburg three times for permission, but was refused all the time. In 1866, the Tour installed a large stone on a sandy hill with the inscription: "A Catholic church will be built here."

For his initiative, he was exiled with his family to Siberia for 12 years, but returned in 1905 with a building permit.

The work began in 1906, about 100 people were involved in the process, and funds were collected from nearby villages, including donations from overseas. The project designed by Pan Pilch has been simplified, but the temple towers still impress with their grandeur.

There is an organ inside, as well as an icon of the Mother of God of Ostrobram, donated by Yanka Kupala's mother.

The temple managed to survive the difficult events of the 20th century. And now it looks the same as it did a century ago. The church remains the "pearl" of the Stolbtsy district and attracts many tourists.

The majestic church is of stunning beauty. A must-visit destination on your way to Sula!
