St. Michael's Church is the main attraction of the agricultural town of Rubel.

St. Michael's Church was built of wood in the western part of the village of Rubel in 1796. It was built at the expense of the parishioners.

The wooden temple is a kind of three-log wooden temple, having three log cabins of the same height, but of different shapes. The building has a symmetrical structure and porches on three sides of the church. There is a three-tiered wooden chapel near the church.

In 1944, the temple witnessed human suffering: during the retreat from Rubel, the Nazi invaders burned 730 yards here and destroyed 122 inhabitants. The wooden St. Michael's Church miraculously survived.

After the war, the church was closed. In 1989, it was returned to the faithful, who repaired it on their own.

In 1992, a new temple was built nearby - the Temple of the Miraculous Image of Christ the Savior. It is built of brick, the structure is characterized by minimalism, the absence of decorative elements, the presence of six bulbous domes.

On the territory of the church there is an almost three-meter bronze monument to Archangel Michael, whose name the ancient church bears. He is the patron saint of the parish.

This interesting and unique ensemble of two Orthodox churches can be seen in the very center of the village of Rubel. If you are driving from Brest towards Turov or Mozyr, then you should definitely stop by here and take a look at it.
